What are you going to do?
Within Triple, you are responsible for designing, developing and maintaining native mobile applications for the Android platform, where you use the latest developments. As an Android Developer at Triple, you make the most beautiful apps from start to finish. During the design sessions, you provide input based on your expertise. You make hour estimates based on the designs. You also ballpark based on the requirements. You share the responsibility for the apps' architecture with the entire Android team and work in scrum teams with other disciplines to create the most beautiful products.
Your activities include:
- Implementing new features and making improvements;
- Debugging and troubleshooting;
- Optimizing the stability and performance of our Android apps;
- Actively think along with our customers & colleagues about new and existing functionalities;
- Be accountable for our architecture standards;
- Code testing through Unit Testing and code reviews;
- Ability to supervise interns and/or junior Android developers.
As an Android Developer, you will join our Development department, which consists of about 70 developers. The team consists of 12 specialists who entirely focus on developing the Android platform. In addition, you work in a multidisciplinary team comprising designers, front-end & back-end developers, QA Engineers and a project manager on the platform of one or more customers.
It is essential to share knowledge and make each other a little better every day. We do this by meeting every week during the Android Weekly. We discuss new developments with each other, and each colleague gets to the floor. New techniques or architecture choices are regularly discussed here, or results within a project are shared.
Within the Android team, we spend a lot of time and attention on promoting team spirit. We do this by organizing team-building days. Think, for example, of a weekend away or we go for dinner together. Every year we look together at Android Dev Summit to follow the most important developments. In addition, we join events, such as the Funky Fridays or Triple Talks Meetup. In addition to our team members, it is vital that we also get to know our other colleagues within Triple better.
We also do code reviews within the team, regardless of seniority level. As a junior, you review the code of more experienced colleagues. You are encouraged to ask as many questions as possible; this way, you learn to understand the thoughts of a more experienced colleague's opinions and be critical. As a professional colleague, it is up to you to do code reviews to ensure our quality standards and answer questions.

- HBO working and thinking level;
- 3+ years of experience in Android development;
- Experience with Kotlin, Coroutines/RxJava & Dagger;
- Knowledge of MVVM & Clean Architecture;
- Of course, you speak and write English effortlessly (Dutch is a plus).

Once started in the server room and over the years it has grown into a full service digital agency with expertise in: Mobile development, Front-end and Back-end Development, Cloud Solutions, Data & Insights, Artificial Intelligence, Concept, Design and Strategy.
1. Phone Interview
Once you have sent us your application, we aim to contact you within 2 days. We will schedule a phone interview with you. This introduction will take about 30 minutes and is mainly intended to tell you more about Triple.
2. Introductory interview
If we feel it is a match from both sides, we will invite you for an introductory interview. Your future team lead and another colleague will be present. During the first meeting we would like to hear all about your requirements, ambitions and current knowledge level. Together we determine whether this fits Triple.
3. Second Interview
Are we all still in for it? In that case you will receive an invitation for a second interview from us. During the second interview we will go deeper into the technology and challenges involved. The goal is to determine where your added value lies. This interview will be attended by colleagues who are better able to deep dive into the actual work details with you.
4. Written offer
Did you have two positive interviews? Great! In this case, a written offer will follow, explaining the primary and secondary conditions of the job. The recruiter you spoke with earlier will contact you about this.
