C# .NET Developer
Alkmaar, Noord-Holland, NetherlandsDevelopment
Job description
Are you ready for the next step in your career? At Triple, we are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable .NET Developer who is eager to help us improve and expand our awesome .NET competence team. We will give you the opportunity to develop and implement required features using the latest technologies and stacks and build competence within our (already) amazing team.
What are you going to do?
As a .NET Developer, we know that you want to make a difference in the projects you work on. We will give you the freedom and the tools to do so. What we expect from you, is that you thoroughly grasp the business case of a project, understand who will be using it and why it is essential. You will dive into the subject, focus on the task at hand and continuously consider the bigger picture relating to the technical challenges.
At Triple, we value versatility in our employees. Although hard skills are obviously important, strong soft skills must accompany them. You encourage our team members to critically question functional requirements, as we are well aware that linear solutions are not always the best ones. We believe it is essential to ask "why" and understand the reasoning behind a decision before proceeding. We expect you to always challenge the briefing.
In the role of .NET Developer, you will have both internal and external communication lines. This will enable you to maintain that helicopter view. You get to communicate directly with our many cool clients, and you proactively problem-solve and challenge the Product Owner and team members.
You will contribute to the growth and development of our team and products by:
- Working on the whole infrastructure of Azure, including API Management, Azure Keyvault, Functions, Service Bus AD, and DevOps.
- Building and deploying containerised applications, working with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding the concept of containers and microservices.
- You find joy in exploring and trying out new techniques, like Azure Cognitive Search..
- Challenging functional requirements and looking at the bigger picture to identify business cases and solutions.
- Communicating effectively with both clients and colleagues to determine project requirements and provide solutions.
- Continuously learning and staying up-to-date with new technologies and tools.
The team
As a .NET Developer, you will join our Development team, composed of 70 talented developers. Within the team, we have 12 specialists who entirely focus on developing the .NET stack. In addition, you get to work in a multidisciplinary team including designers, frontend & mobile developers, QA Engineers and a project manager, on the platform of one or more customers.
At Triple, we feel it is essential to share knowledge, so we can inspire and improve ourselves and each other every day. During our .NET Weekly meeting, we discuss new developments and everyone gets the chance to share something. At this meeting, we often talk about new techniques or architecture choices, or we share results or progress within a project.
As in every team at Triple, we continuously promote team spirit within the .NET team. We do this by organizing team-building days, like a weekend away, or social dinners together. Every year we watch the Android Dev Summit together, so we are all up to speed on the most important developments. In addition, we join Triple events, such as the Funky Fridays or Triple Talks Meetup. As we work in multidisciplinary teams, we feel that it is important that you also get to know our other colleagues within Triple. And with the many social events that are organized, you will get every opportunity to make new friends.
Within the team, we like to do code reviews. In these reviews, we are all equal. Juniors get to review the code of more experienced colleagues, which is great fun and very insightful for everyone. Team members (and especially juniors) are encouraged to ask as many questions as possible. This way, they learn to understand how more experienced colleagues think, and how to be critical in a constructive way. As a professional colleague, you can use the code reviews to ensure our quality standards and challenge yourself to answer the many critical questions.
Job requirements
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering (or similar).
- Extensive technical experience in Azure and the latest version of .NET (dependency injection) and frameworks.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes and knowledge of containers and microservices.
- Strong understanding of API Management, Azure Keyvault, Function bus, AD, and DevOps.
- Ability to challenge functional requirements and look at the bigger picture to identify business cases and solutions.
- Ability to learn and stay up-to-date with new technologies and tools.

Our Process

1. Phone Interview
Once you have sent us your application, we aim to contact you within 2 days. We will schedule a phone interview with you. This introduction will take about 30 minutes and is mainly intended to tell you more about Triple.

2. Introductory interview
If we feel it is a match from both sides, we will invite you for an introductory interview. Your future team lead and another colleague will be present. During the first meeting we would like to hear all about your requirements, ambitions and current knowledge level. Together we determine whether this fits Triple.

3. Second Interview
Are we all still in for it? In that case you will receive an invitation for a second interview from us. During the second interview we will go deeper into the technology and challenges involved. The goal is to determine where your added value lies. This interview will be attended by colleagues who are better able to deep dive into the actual work details with you.

4. Written offer
Did you have two positive interviews? Great! In this case, a written offer will follow, explaining the primary and secondary conditions of the job. The recruiter you spoke with earlier will contact you about this.
