What will you be doing?
We seek a skilled React Native Developer to join our team and work on developing and maintaining mobile platforms for our clients. You will be working alongside a highly talented and experienced team that utilizes various tools and techniques. Your passion and expertise will be instrumental in advancing our team's goals. 

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing new features and improvements;
  • Writing your code in TypeScript;
  • Using a wide range of tooling and techniques, including Expo (or RN CLI) and Expo Router for project setup and navigation, and Fastlane for automating tasks like deployments and releases;
  • Applying a unique design system, in some cases including design tokens, which contributes to a consistent and scalable user interface;
  • Integrating Over-The-Air (OTA) updates for efficient and seamless updates of applications;
  • Writing code in TypeScript, taking advantage of strong typing and an enhanced developer experience;
  • Ensuring code quality through testing, using Jest for unit tests and automated UI tests; 
  • Developing bridges or native modules to integrate and utilize native functionalities in your React Native applications;
  • Using Firebase for services such as app distribution, real-time config, and analytics to build scalable applications;
  • Applying Sentry for real-time error monitoring and logging, which is essential for maintaining the quality and stability of the applications;
  • Actively contributing to discussions about new and existing functionalities with clients and colleagues; • Maintaining our code and architecture standards;
  • Mentoring interns and/or junior developers.

The team
As a React Native Developer, you will join our development department, where about 80 other developers are active. You will be part of the React Native team of 10 specialists. In a multidisciplinary project team, including designers, frontend & backend developers, QA engineers, and a project manager, you will work together on the platforms of one or more clients.

Knowledge sharing is central within our team. We believe it makes us stronger every day. Furthermore, we share much knowledge with our colleagues from the Smart TV (with Svelte & TypeScript) and Frontend Web teams, broadening our field and keeping us up-to-date with technical developments.

We also conduct Code Reviews within the team, regardless of your level. So, a junior also reviews the code of more experienced colleagues. They learn a lot from that. As a Senior, we expect you to conduct code reviews to maintain our quality standards and answer questions.

Who are we looking for?

We expect you to have a vision and opinion about new technologies. You are open to discussion and changes when new ideas are brought forward or come up with suggestions yourself. You have good communication skills and easily switch between both internal and external colleagues and clients.

We consider personal development important, partly because the digital landscape changes rapidly. Therefore, you are willing to learn new techniques, take courses, and attend conferences so that you are always well informed about the latest developments.

You contribute to the growth of both yourself and others and keep your colleagues informed of new developments within your projects and the field. You also occasionally give presentations about development themes that excite you.

Job requirements

  • HBO working and thinking level;
  • At least 5 years experience as a React Native Developer, with a strong focus on mobile application development;
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience with TypeScript, including the use of tools such as Expo, Expo Router, and RN CLI;
  • Experience with the development of native modules (bridges) in React Native is a strong plus;
  • Experience with streaming video and DRM is a plus, but not required; 
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.

Our Process

1. Phone Interview

Once you have sent us your application, we aim to contact you within 2 days. We will schedule a phone interview with you. This introduction will take about 30 minutes and is mainly intended to tell you more about Triple.

2. Introductory interview

If we feel it is a match from both sides, we will invite you for an introductory interview. Your future team lead and another colleague will be present. During the first meeting we would like to hear all about your requirements, ambitions and current knowledge level. Together we determine whether this fits Triple.

3. Second Interview

Are we all still in for it? In that case you will receive an invitation for a second interview from us. During the second interview we will go deeper into the technology and challenges involved. The goal is to determine where your added value lies. This interview will be attended by colleagues who are better able to deep dive into the actual work details with you.

4. Written offer

Did you have two positive interviews? Great! In this case, a written offer will follow, explaining the primary and secondary conditions of the job. The recruiter you spoke with earlier will contact you about this.
